IT Students Join Company Tour Under the The Danish – Vietnamese Strategic Sector Cooperation on TVET

Company visits are an effective way to build strong connections between businesses and students, allowing learners to update their practical knowledge and gain a realistic understanding of future working environments.

As part of the “Denmark–Vietnam Vocational Education Cooperation” project, on May 6, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College organized a company visit and hands-on learning program at The Color Club for students majoring in Graphic Design under the Faculty of Information Technology.

The Color Club is a Denmark-based company operating in diverse fields such as Marketing Production, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Business Intelligence, with offices in both Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City.

The visit to The Color Club is one of the regular activities integrated into the training program of Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College. The school places strong emphasis on enhancing both the quality and frequency of such experiential learning opportunities.

Engaging with open and collaborative businesses allows students to gain firsthand exposure to real working environments, helping to narrow the gap between theory and practice. This experience enables students to develop a clearer understanding of their desired career paths and to better plan their professional futures.

As part of the program, students from the Faculty of Information Technology were given an overview of The Color Club by the company’s experts, including insights into potential job positions in the field of graphic design.

In addition to the presentation, students engaged in a lively Q&A session with industry professionals, where they had the opportunity to discuss topics related to the field they are studying. Thought-provoking questions raised by students included: “What are the requirements to become an employee at the company?”, “What are the recruitment policies, salary, and benefits?”, and “What specific skills are required for this position?” — all of which were thoughtfully answered by company representatives.

Students also participated in a mini game featuring advanced applications in the field of technology, adding an interactive and engaging element to the experience.

Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College always prioritizes practice-oriented training, considering it a guiding principle in its educational approach. This commitment helps ensure that graduates are well-equipped to meet job requirements immediately upon entering the workforce.

Through these real-world, hands-on experiences, students have the chance to see for themselves, hear directly, and gain firsthand insight into the working environment and corporate culture. They also benefit from exchanges with company experts, gaining valuable knowledge about the essential skills and experiences needed in the industry, and forming a clearer picture of their future careers.

After such company visits, students gain practical lessons that help them define their future paths more clearly and prepare confidently for their upcoming careers.
