Automotive Engineering Students from Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College Participate in the 8th Mini Car Racing Competition 2024

On the morning of June 15, 2024, the 8th Mini Car Racing competition took place at Cao Thang Technical College, featuring the participation of 27 teams from various universities and colleges.

Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College joined the competition with team 45-CĐN-TPHCM, consisting of students and lecturers from the Faculty of Automotive Engineering.

Supporting and encouraging the team at the event were Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Hà, M.A. – Head of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, Mr. Thái Văn Huy – Lecturer of the same faculty, Ms. Đặng Thị Thủy Tiên – Secretary of the Youth Union, and Ms. Trần Thị Kiều Trang – President of the Student Association.

The 2024 Mini Car Racing Competition featured 27 participating teams, divided into 9 quarter-final rounds, each consisting of 3 teams competing against one another. After the quarter-finals, only 9 teams advanced to the semi-finals, and ultimately, the top 3 teams earned their place in the final round to determine the champion of the 2024 Mini Car Racing Competition.

With the aim of creating an academic playground that fosters creativity, a passion for scientific research, and helps students keep pace with modern technological advancements, the organizing committee launched the 8th Mini Car Racing Competition in 2024. This year's competition focused on the application of IoT technology, where model cars were remotely controlled via smartphones using Wifi-Internet protocol.

The 2024 competition was held on a grand scale, as reflected in the following numbers: 500 students participating directly, 12,000 students attending as supporters, and over 10 universities and colleges represented.

Despite the heavy rain, the team 45-CĐN-HCM from Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College delivered an impressive performance on the track, showcasing exciting overtakes and skillful turns. Although the team concluded their journey in the quarter-finals, the students had a highly engaging and rewarding experience, enriching their technical skills and paving the way for a brighter future in their vocational training.
