Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College welcomes the Minister of Employment, Innovation & Trade of Victoria – Australia

On April 23, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College has solemnly welcomed Mr. Martin Pakula, Minister of Employment, Innovation & Trade of Victoria - Australia.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, welcomed Mr. Martin Pakula.

Accompany the trip with the Minister including the delegation of Victorian Government officials - Australia: Ms. Melissa Arch – Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister, State Government of Victoria; Mr. Paul Stagg – Trade Director, Global Victoria – State Government of Victoria; Mr Brett Stevens – Victorian Commissioner to Southeast Asia, Victorian Government Trade & Investment – State Government of Victoria; Ms Celia Yeo – Education Services Director for Southeast Asia, Victorian Government Trade & Investment – State Government of Victoria; Mr Bernard Oh – Government Coordination Director, Victorian Government Trade & Investment – State Government of Victoria; Mr Haike Manning – Victorian Government representative in Vietnam, Lightpath Group; Ms Thu Trang or Ms Luu So Cam – Victorian Government representative in Vietnam, Lightpath Group; Mr Noel Lyons, Chief Commercial Officer, Chisholm Institute; Ms. Nguyen Nu Tra My - Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC) representative; Ms. Trinh Trinh, Director of Education, Austrade - Victoria Trade and Investment Agency - worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College for pilot training of College level under the Transfer program from Australia.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, representative of the General Department of Vocational Education and the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College welcomed and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, Minister Martin Pakula hight appreciated the cooperation program between the two sides for bringing many benefits for teachers and students in the teaching and learning as well as strengthening the relationship between the two countries, Vietnam and Australia. The main content of the meeting was to survey and study about the cooperative relationship with Chisholm Academy and the training schedule of 03 pilot trades at Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Board of Directors of HCMC Vocational College works with the delegation.

The delegation visited workshops, IT vocational training rooms (Software applications), Industrial electronics, Techniques of electrical installation and controlling in industrial system . Especially Minister Martin Pakula participated in practicing with students of Techniques of electrical installation and controlling in industrial system at school.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Trung, International class student of Techniques of electrical installation and controlling in industrial system trade instructs the Minister to practice the PLC system.

The visit ended successfully and promises to open many opportunities for development cooperation in vocational training and education in the future.
