Robofight 2018 (The combat robot in 2018) was organized by Ho Chi Minh City Association of Mechanical - Electrical Enterprises (HAMEE) in April, 2018. This is a tournament-style robot antagonists in the first time in Vietnam. The purpose is to create an innovative and vibrant playground for businesses and universities; strengthen engagement between businesses and students and schools; proceed to the national organization and participate in the US BattleBots international tournament.

Robofight 2018 was received special attention from the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. HCMC Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan (the second one from left) visited and encouraged all teams to compete in the tournament.

With the highest award of 100 million VND, Robofight 2018 had attracted the competition of 20 teams, from 8 universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and was funded by 18 enterprises to create robots. According to the Organizing Committee, teams drawed and divided the table. There were 31 matches, each match had 3 rounds, each round lasted 3 minutes. The competition took place from the end of October to the end of December 2018. Coming to this tournament, the teams brought remote control robots with modern technology investments along with many unique and strange tactics, and the audience could watch the show of fiery techniques in accordance with literal meaning

“All robots must attach remote power disconnectors according to the organizers' standards. The power source of the robot when supplied to the driving mechanism must go through this remote power supply device. The maximum line of the device is 100A DC. The device will be provided by the organizers to the playing teams ”- HAMEE representative said.

Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College participated in the Robofight 2018 included 2 teams: The Winner CĐN và đội CĐN Bất Diệt from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical - Refrigeration Engineering

HCMC Vocational College students said that this tournament is very attractive to technical students. Currently, in Vietnam, there is no contest of robots that are antagonistic, so the tournament has created great inspiration for students to be as creative as this competition.

Students in 2 teams of HCMC Vocational College participated in Robofight 2018.

With the determination to win high in the tournament, the two teams had serious investment from the school and the enthusiastic guidance from the teachers of faculties. In the round table, 2 teams of HCMC Vocational College had excelled in passing teams from universities and businesses.

After a 2-month competition period , the Black Angel team from the University of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is the winner of Robofight 2018. “CDN Bất Diệt” team from Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College has excellently entered one of the 8 strongest teams of the Robofight 2018. Through the tournament, the students of Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College participated in the spirit of playfulness, exchanging and learning, getting a lot of experiences in the process of competition, thereby contributing to help you more firmly in future career development path.

The competition was very intense between two robots of “CDN Bat Diet” team and the Hercules team. As a results, the “CDN Bat Diet” team had excellently Hercules team to enter to the next round.
