FACULTY OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY
1. OVERVIEW
The Faculty of Food Technology specializes in the preservation and processing of agricultural products; quality inspection and evaluation during food processing; the research and development of new products; and the operation of production and preservation lines. It also includes the creation of new materials in the fields of food, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry. The field has diverse applications, as all matters related to food, beverages, and food safety can benefit from the knowledge taught in this discipline.
Students of the faculty receive theoretical training in fully equipped classrooms and gain hands-on experience using advanced, modern laboratory and practical equipment. In addition to the core and specialized knowledge covered in the official curriculum, students are also updated with advanced knowledge in food quality management, food hygiene and safety, and product development through short-term training courses, scientific seminars, and thematic workshops.
Upon graduation, students are qualified to take on roles in food processing, preservation, quality inspection, and production line operation. They may work at food manufacturing and processing companies, research institutes, organizations related to food and nutrition, or serve in community nutrition consulting, clinical dietetics, and food hygiene and safety management at nutrition centers, medical facilities, and preventive healthcare institutions.
